PPW Motorcars is pleased to offer what is easily most interesting and exciting car we have offered to date! This beautiful, original, and bespoke 1959 Buchanan, is as cool and fun it gets. Built by Kelly Buchanan, who was a coachbuilder for a good portion of his life where he designed and created several one off vehicles for customers. This was the one that he imagined and brought to reality. It has the looks of a pre war vehicle with many of the same build styles and combines it with the power, reliability, and handling of a modern car. The car was designed from the bottom up, using a jaguar 150S frame (so has a much smaller appearance than many oversized 1 off cars), a handmade all metal body, and the powerful running equipment from a V12 Jaguar XKE. This magnificent motorcar was completed over a 5 year period, when he started by purchasing a brand new V12 Jaguar XKE and a Jaguar 150S. The design process was surely complex but resulted in what you see before you, after 3,000 or so hours… It went on to win the Santa Barbra Concourse in the Exotic Coach Built Class.

Further, this example has had a mechanical freshening, making sure that it runs and drives as well as it looks. It starts on the first turn of the key when cold, idles, runs, and drives like a new XKE. We have many older vehicles come through and never before have we had a car of this age that runs and drives as well as this one does. Further, the vehicle is in magnificent original condition throughout. While the photos speaking for themselves, we are happy to go over any detail the prospective buyer wishes. We can’t say enough about the condition, top and bottom.

Setting this vehicle further apart is the powerful V12 lurking under the hood. With SIX downdraft two barrel carburetors and a 4 Speed Manual Transmission, there isn’t much else under a $1,000,000 that provides the experience that this car does. The induction sound could be sold as a record, and would certainly be a billboard top song. As one would assume, the car received the best of care from storage to maintenance with cost not being considered.
