Making this quintessential Porsche even more desirable is the extensive motor rebuild and general freshening that it has undergone. In July of 2011 the vehicle underwent an extensive engine rebuild (matching number engine) at an astronomical cost of $10,654.67! In addition it has had new brake pads, rotors, oil changes every 3,000 miles, valve adjustment, distributor rotor, distributor cap, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, brake fluid flush, and much more!
As an upgrade this vehicle was backdated to SSI headers and equipped with a Dansk Sport exhaust! This gives it a heavenly sound without being intrusive and gives this flat-6 one of the most identifiable sounds in all of motorsports.
